R&D


R&D is the most flexible of the services offered by Avanzada 7. It allows our customers eliminate fixed costs of a permanent R&D department. Those costs become variable (by projects or by time periods). In addition, our work brings the possibility of benefiting from tax advantages supplied by several administrations on the subject of R&D.

We have been collaborating several years with Thomson   working side by side with their engineering teams developing public telephony products (payphones), residential phones (DOMO terminal), and a wide variety of adaptations for their range of products.

 


 

 

Engineering


 

 

This business line brings solutions for developing needs of new electronic and Communication engineering products. From a requirements and functionality specifications we build a timing and cost estimation for our customer.

 

It's a matter of turnkey solutions for medium-sized and big companies.

 

 

Under those premises, we are developing a license plate recognition system for EQUIN SA , a firm from Madrid

 

 



Telemetry & Telemanagement systems.


   Provide the ability of remotely monitor relevant parameters in a set of spread equipments. Every equipment holds a control board which performs measurements and transmits them to the telemanagement center.

   Communications flow via GSM (PSTN is usually not available in the location of the equipments). SMS is used due to the low frecuency and weight of data streams.

Control Board on remote equipments:

   Depending on the nature of the parameter to measure, Avanzada 7 selects the appropiate sensors for the control board, where the result of the measurements are forwarded to the management center via SMS. Several sensors can be used depending on the application.

   For instance, for detecting the presence of an object in a certain place, an opto-electronic system is used, consisting of an infrared light choke. Every choke is built with an infrared light emitter and a receiver facing each other with the location of the object to detect in between. If the object is present, infrared beam is interrupted and detected by the control unit.

   Liquid Level measurements can also be performed using pressure or ultrasonic sensors, for example.

   Those systems may also be equipped with ID systems for control access, using proximity cards to reach secure environments. Just placing an authorised card at 15 cm of the sensor, a valid user is allowed to access the equipment. Communication between ID module and control unit is done through an RS-232 standard interface. The system can store 800 different codes for valid users and every access will be logged (if desired) and stored in the remote center where user permissions can be Managed.

Telemanagement Software :

   The Software uses the following modules.



   From the control panel you can handle:

  • Effective planning of supplying logistics


  • Stocks with no need to visit remote locations.


  • Product movement logs to make invoicing easier .




   There are multiple applications with such an scheme: Fuel container level monitoring, gas/electricity meters mantaining, stock control in vending machines ...



 

 

For motoring and recreational industries, we collaborate with the firms VALEO and CIRSA in the development of several engineering projects.
